Now this is a really unique piece! The bricks of red and white are the foundation of the building - visual imagery pointing to the the U.S flag but also the nation (it's foundation,it's strength, it's unity, and a 'building that provides shelter") . The widow of this building shows us the view of the star laced sky - also visual imagery alluding to the United States Flag. But it also conveys to me that we look to the stars for the future as we continue to explore .
